My Father’s House
My Father’s House Program
At My Father’s House, we walk alongside homeless families as they rebuild their lives. Our program focuses on three key areas:
- Safety & Immediate Needs
- Accountability, Education & Skill Building
- Relational Healing & Spiritual Growth
Safety & Immediate Needs
We meet families’ basic needs—housing, food, clothing, and safety—so they can focus on creating a brighter future.
- Housing: Up to 28 families live in private, self-contained units equipped with kitchenettes and bathrooms. Our campus also provides spaces for education, childcare, and worship.
- Food & Clothing: Families access essentials through our on-site clothing donation center and food pantry, Shared Blessings.
- Family & Child Safety: A secure, single-entry campus and trained staff help ensure a safe, supportive environment for all.
Accountability, Education & Skill Building
Our structured program equips families with the tools and habits needed for lasting independence.
- Daily Structure: Routines, responsibilities, and clear expectations help families build consistency, accountability, and community.
- Life Skills Training: Weekly group classes include:
- Parenting education
- Budgeting and financial literacy
- Grief and coping
- as well a communication, employment readiness, healthy relationships, cooking, and more
- Rent Well®: A 12-hour tenant education course designed to help families overcome rental barriers.
- Case Management: Each family works weekly with a case manager to set goals, track progress, and receive personalized support.
Relational Healing & Spiritual Growth
True transformation happens in community. We provide opportunities for emotional healing and spiritual restoration through relationships and optional faith engagement.
- Relational Healing: Every staff member—from counseling to maintenance—is trained to engage with residents in a respectful, personal way. Our environment fosters trust, safety, and healthy boundaries.
- Spiritual Support: While church attendance is never required, families are invited to explore faith in a supportive community. We partner with local churches and offer prayer support. Our deepest desire is for every resident to experience the love and healing of Jesus Christ.
