Adopt-A-Room Program

Help families feel at home while they rebuild their lives. Each family gets their own small studio apartment when they live at My Father’s House.

When a family transitions out of My Father’s House, our team prepares the studio for the next family — cleaning, repairing, and refreshing it with care. That’s where our Adopt-A-Room partners come in!

By adopting a room, you’ll help transform an empty space into a welcoming home. Two to three times a year, you’ll restock essential items such as bedding, towels, and kitchen basics that bring warmth, dignity, and comfort to the next family.

After setting up your room, you’ll receive a letter and photo of the family who moves in — a meaningful reminder of the hope you’ve helped create. Each family takes their provided items with them when they move into permanent housing, ensuring your generosity continues to make an impact beyond our doors.

A plaque with your name (or your group’s name) is placed on your adopted room as a lasting expression of gratitude.

Typical annual cost: $600–$800 for replenishing essentials (furniture remains in place).

Each Room Includes:

• Sleeping Area with a Full Bed and One or Two Twins
• Kitchenette and Eating Area
• Private Bathroom

Common Items You’ll Provide:

• Bedding and Towels and Shower Curtain
• Dishes, Cookware, and Utensils
• Laundry Basket, Soap, and Basic Cleaning Supplies
